Nick McIlroy

Nick McIlroy is an Adjunct Teaching Fellow in Trinity Business School, where he lectures on International Business and the Global Economy modules.

Nick has a broad range of writing experience in both public and private sectors in a global business environment including Bord Bia in Shanghai, speaking notes for senior Government officials, drafted and edited many op-ed pieces on a third-party freelance basis for a number of high-profile individuals for publication in the New York Times, the Financial Times and other leading journals and has authored a number of academic papers and a book chapter on China-Europe trade relations.

His research and consulting interests focus on global business, EU-Asia trade and investment relations (incl. regional and bilateral free trade agreements), agribusiness, food and beverage, sustainable food systems, globalisation, and the business and politics of Asia.

Nick is a graduate and scholar of Trinity College, and a fluent speaker of Mandarin. He also holds Masters degrees from the University of Leiden and Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD.
